The beginning of the year is coming so quickly, Just as the beginning of the year is crucial for students and relationship building, it is the same for teachers.
At the beginning of the year as educators we are so eager to begin. All the possibilities are swirling in our mind. The excitement of lamination and all the colorful things. We are ready to take on the world. If only we could bottle that up and keep that motivation and momentum until the end of year.
Then stress sets in. All the paperwork, the parent teacher conferences, the grading begins, the assessments and lesson planning are endless. It is easy to lose sight of our why.
That positive "why" we started teaching becomes more of a "why am I still doing this?".
In order to keep that positive vibe and the constant reminder of "Why" in a positive way. Do this activity with your teachers at the beginning of the year.
Find a space. An empty wall, bulletin board, anything! Cut out the big "Why" letters.
Have teachers reflect on their why and post them around the word!
Use it as a constant reminder as to "Why" teachers started in the first place.
Don't let the "Why do we do this" take over the "Why we started".
Use this free resource from my TPT store to facilitate it with your teachers and create a bulletin board display!
